Introduction
I have been obsessed with telling stories for as long as I can remember. From drawing on the walls of my childhood home to penning tales about dinosaurs running laboratories, I had always been eager to tell others what the world was like in my eyes, or how I imagine it could be. I was fortunate to have been exposed at a young age to many outlets for this urge: music, visual arts, and theatre.
My time at the Philippine Science High School helped enhance the way I process information and think about things rationally, but a career in the arts seemed inescapable. Through workshops and mentorships, I was able to find opportunities to act, write, sing, and even provide voiceovers for commercials.
Now studying Theatre Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), I am eager to push beyond limits not only toward sharing my perspective of the world, but also in learning to listen more intimately to the voices of the past, the disadvantaged, the misunderstood, and the people around us waiting to be heard.
